Is adoption right for you?
If you are reading this, you are already doing something brave, you are wondering. There is no commitment in learning, and every question is welcome.
What adoption really is
Adoption is a legal and lifelong way of giving a child who cannot remain with their birth family a new, permanent family of their own. It is built entirely around one question: what is best for this child?
It is not about "getting" a child, and children are never presented as options to browse or choose. It is a careful, professional process of understanding a child's needs and finding the family who can meet them.
It's okay to simply explore
Many people who come to us are not sure yet, and that is exactly the right place to start. Learning about adoption does not commit you to anything. You can ask every question, sit with your feelings, and decide in your own time.
What to expect emotionally
Adoption can bring hope, excitement, uncertainty and moments of doubt, often all at once. That is completely normal. Our counselling and preparation exist precisely to help you navigate these feelings with honesty and support.
Curious? Let's have a gentle conversation.
Ask us anything, about the process, about eligibility, or simply about whether adoption might be right for you. It is confidential, and there is no obligation.
