Our Project

Keeping children in families

No institution can replace the love of a family. Our Project to Keep Children in Families works to prevent unnecessary separation, so more children grow up where they belong, at home.

Around the world, most children in orphanages are not orphans. They have living parents or relatives who, with a little support, could care for them. When families are strengthened, separation can be prevented.

Our Project to Keep Children in Families is built on that belief. Rather than waiting until a child has already lost their family, we work upstream, supporting families through hardship so that children stay safe, settled and loved within their own homes. Where a child truly cannot remain with their parents, we help relatives and kinship carers step in, keeping the child connected to family and community.

Prevent separation

We step in early, before pressures become crises, so children can stay safely at home.

Strengthen families

Counselling, guidance and practical support help parents and caregivers provide stable, loving care.

Support kinship care

When parents cannot cope, we help relatives care for children so they stay close to family and community.

Walk alongside

We follow up over time, because lasting change needs steady, patient support.
